The built-in viewer is used when Portable Document Format (PDF) files are set to Open in Firefox in your Firefox settings for different types of files. After finding it, right-click and Toggle this setting as well. Firefox's built-in PDF viewer allows you to view almost all PDF files found on the web without an external application (exceptions to this are PDF files with a MIME type incorrectly set). Once you find it in the list, right-click on it and select Toggle. Step 2: Search for from the box near the top of the about:config area. You may see a warning about editing this area, accept it to continue.
